Plants Unit

Assignment: Teach a complete science unit about plants to a first grade classroom.

Reflection: Our first grade class explored the life cycle of plants, the anatomy of plants and seeds, how humans have used plants throughout history, and why sustaining natural resources, like plants, is so important. We also had a Mother’s Day Tea event which was part of the home/school connection for the semester, and a STEM Game Day; the culminating event for our plants unit. I loved every minute of teaching this unit.
